How are you tensioning your spokes? I had to ride around for weeks with s spoke wrench in my pocket after I built my fixed wheel.

You can do the tension by musical pitch. That have been discussed a lot, but it is accurate as long as you measure the spoke length the correct way. Meaning it's only the swagged part (+ a bit more) that is the effective length.

You can of course also use a tensiometer, but then you don't always know how to translate the reading into tension when using oval or flat spokes. You need a separate table for each type of spoke. With musical pitch, shape doesn't matter.
